9th February 2007 - We are very proud to announce
that Global Logistics Network, Inc. has been recommended for ISO
9001:2000 Certification by EQA, a leading international Registrar.
This was achieved through precise quality administrative
guidelines within GLN and the final process was a 6 hour audit at
our office which included cross references to our web site and our
ISO Manual. The complete process, from start to finish
(audit), took about six months.
As you are aware, ISO Certification is a measure of reliability,
consistency & commitment to quality which reflect our core
competencies and values at GLN.
Benefit to GLN Members - Group Certification Program:
Our Quality Management System was developed in two parts - one
covering the Certification of GLN on a corporate basis and the
second to offer a Global Certification Program to our Members.
Because, as part of our corporate GLN quality process, we are
required to monitor member complaints and non-conformance, we are
able to offer our Members a very simple and economical route to
ISO 9001 Certification because we, corporately, are monitoring
members' service standards.
GLN has developed a Members Quality Manual establishing GLN
standards in the areas of export, import and ancillary operations
and, with little effort, those Members who wish to become ISO
Certified, will be able to do so by adhering to these standards.
Actual work procedures will be for local benefit only and will be
outside the scope of ISO Certification.
For those Members who are already ISO Certified, joining the GLN
Group Certification Program will yield savings in maintenance and
audit fees.
About ISO 9001 : 2000
ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized Standard. It
is a document, which defines the elements of organization required
by a company to operate & maintain a Quality Management System,
i.e. Management Responsibility, Resource Management, Product
Realization, Measurement, Analysis & Improvement.
For the purpose of Accreditation a company must document its
practices in a Quality Manual, defining its Operating
Procedures/Processes, Objectives and Policy for achieving them,
these documents are assessed to ensure they fulfill the criteria
of the standard & satisfactorily envelop all elements of the
companies operations.
When the documentation is found satisfactory, the company is then
audited to ensure they are complying with all elements of their
documentation, and that their System is successfully managing all
aspects of their business.
On satisfactory conclusion of this process a company is
Certificated, Accredited with operating to a system which is
compliant to the essence of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
Companies are reassessed annually to ensure they are maintaining
